The technology we use at Trail Dental & Surgery supports our commitment to comfortable, effective and efficient dental care for our patients.
Our Dental Technologies
Our goal is to make every visit to our Trail clinic as convenient, efficient, and comfortable as possible. To do that, we use a range of technologies developed to deliver the information we need to provide precise diagnoses and effective treatment.
Depending on your unique oral health needs, your dental team may use one or more of these tools during your appointment.
-
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays send an image of your whole mouth directly to our treatment room monitor, so we can view it right away and show you any oral health issues that appear.
-
Panoramic X-Rays
Our panoramic X-ray system captures a full, 360° view of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures in a single image. This wide-angle scan helps us detect impacted teeth, bone abnormalities, cysts, and other conditions that may not appear in standard X-rays. It’s fast, comfortable, and uses minimal radiation. This gives our team a clear picture of your oral health for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
-
Cone Beam CT Scanner (CBCT)
Our Cone Beam CT Scanner provides detailed, 3D images of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures with exceptional accuracy. This imaging technology helps our team diagnose issues that traditional X-rays can miss, plan personalized treatments, and ensure safer, more predictable outcomes for procedures such as implants or root canals, all with minimal radiation exposure.
-
Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras capture detailed images of the inside of your mouth. This technology is used as part of comprehensive oral exams and assessments of the health of the interior of your mouth.
-
VELscope® Oral Cancer Screening Device
Our VELscope, a visible light tool, is used to aid in the early detection of cancerous lesions in your mouth. Using this technology during routine checkups helps us spot oral cancer early in its development stages.
-
CEREC® Same Day Restorations
At Trail Dental & Surgery, we offer Dentistry Powered by CEREC. This technology allows our dentists to place custom crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers more quickly than in the past, often in a single appointment.
In just one visit, we can prepare your tooth, then make the dental restoration right in our office in about one hour.
No need for traditional impressions or temporary crowns, and no long wait for your permanent restoration.
