In some cases, a severely damaged tooth can't be saved. When that happens, our dental team in Trail provides tooth extractions to protect oral health and prevent further complications.

Extractions & Wisdom Teeth Removals
At Trail Dental & Surgery, tooth extractions are typically a last resort. We believe that saving a tooth, whenever possible, is almost always in the patient's best interests. That said, in some cases and extraction is the best way to restore oral health.
Problematic teeth can sometimes cause pain, infection, or damage to surrounding tissues if left untreated. In these cases, a dental extraction may be the best way to relieve discomfort and help you regain a healthy, pain-free smile.
If you need a tooth extraction, our team will make every effort to ensure your experience is calm and comfortable from start to finish. We also offer dental sedation options to help you feel completely at ease throughout your procedure.
Tooth Extractions
As dental professionals, we believe it is preferable to save a natural tooth whenever possible. There are, however, some cases where this isn't possible, and keeping a tooth in place can lead to serious health complications.
If a tooth is too badly damaged because of gum disease, injuries, or tooth decay we may recommend removing it.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Many, but not all, people between the ages of 17 and 25 will grow wisdom teeth (also called third molars). For some people, wisdom teeth turn out not to be fully functional or may begin to cause the serious crowding of other teeth, leading to pain and oral health issues.
If this is the case for you, our dentists may recommend extracting your wisdom teeth to preserve your oral health.
